Ceramic Coatings By Deadbolt Enterprises

Details :

Black Xtreme(TM) Coating - Generally used on steel, cast iron, and stainless steel parts.  This coating is stable up to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit!  Coating a turbine housing with Black Xtreme(TM) will cause the turbine housing to retain more heat, which will improve spoolup.  Application of this coating will also allow less heat to soak into the engine bay and top mount intercooler.  Cooler air makes better power!

Standard turbine housing Black Xtreme(TM) coating - $75.00 

Heavily rusted housings will require an additional $10.00 fee.

 

Grey Ceramic Coating - Specially designed for aluminum surfaces.  This coating is stable up to 1600 degrees Fahrenheit!  Application of this coating to the compressor housing of a turbo acts in the exact opposite way as the Black Xtreme(TM) coating on the turbine housing.  Application of ceramic to the compressor side will prevent the compressor housing from soaking up heat and passing it to the charged air as it exits.  Once again, cooler air gives better power!

After several years working with our coating manufacturer, we have managed to develop a RED ceramic coating that retains pigment and is stable at 1100 degrees F continued heat!!!

Technical :

On-track testing has shown as much as a 25% reduction in under hood ambient temperature and more than 50% reduction in component skin temperature with ceramic coatings. Deadbolt Enterprises Ceramic Coating process achieves this by creating a thermal barrier which retains the heat within the housing. In turbocharged applications this coating helps increase turbo boost and spool-up.  One ceramics coating company reported "...Independent testing of a turbocharged Mazda engine has shown a 5% increase in horsepower" when their ceramic coating was used on the exhaust manifold, turbocharger and downpipe.

This unique ceramic coating process can reduce ambient under hood temperature while increasing horsepower. Performance benefits can be attributed to: combustion chamber stabilization and reduced under hood temperature due to the improved air density, and increased gas velocity due to the heat retaining properties of the coating.
