Limited Warranty Information

 Limited Warranty on NEW turbochargers

We warranty every new turbocharger sold for 12 months from the date of sale against any defects in materials or workmanship.  This does not include any damage resulting in improper use, break-in, or installation.  In the event of a warranty concern, the turbocharger must be returned to our facility for a complete teardown and analysis.  This warranty is void if the turbo is modified at all from its original as-sold condition by the customer or any person acting on the customer's behalf.  Also, removal of any part or disassembly in part or as a whole of the turbocharger by the customer or anyone acting on the customer's behalf will void the warranty entirely.  For complete details refer to the warranty enclosure contained within the paperwork packet inside the box that your turbocharger was shipped inside.

 Limited Warranty on REBUILT* turbochargers

*Rebuilt turbochargers refer to a rebuildable turbocharger that has been thoroughly cleaned, checked, and refreshed to or exceeding factory specifications with new bushings, thrust bearings, seals, o-rings, etc.  The term rebuilt or rebuild does not mean a turbocharger that has simply been upgraded or modified without replacement of internal wear components.

Any turbocharger we sell as "rebuilt" has been refreshed with new bushings, thrust bearing, seals, o-rings, and balance checked/corrected to within factory tolerance.  Any turbocharger that we sell as rebuilt will carry a 180 day warranty against any defects in materials or workmanship.  This does not include damage or problems resulting from improper use, break-in, or installation.  In the event of a warranty concern, the turbocharger must be returned to our facility for a complete teardown and analysis.  This warranty is void if the turbo is modified at all from its original as-sold condition by the customer or any person acting on the customer's behalf.  Also, removal of any part or disassembly in part or as a whole of the turbocharger by the customer or anyone acting on the customer's behalf will void the warranty entirely.  This warranty also applies in the event of a turbocharger that is sent in for "rebuilding".

Limited Warranty on UPGRADE & SERVICE WORK on customer-supplied turbochargers

When a customer sends their turbo to our company for upgrade or service work we will warranty ONLY the work requested by the customer and performed at our facility.  If a customer sends any turbocharger for upgrade work we obviously cannot and will not warranty the condition of the turbocharger's other components such as center section, bushings, etc. (As an example, if a customer sends in a turbocharger for port work and ceramic coatings, then the turbocharger fails shortly thereafter due to previous wear or problems, the failure is not related to the work we did and we WILL NOT warranty such problems.)  We cannot and will not guarantee or warranty the condition of any turbocharger not sold by, or rebuilt* by our facility.  Buying a turbocharger from a third party, and sending it to our facility for upgrade work is not a warranty binder.  Once more, we cannot and will not guarantee the condition of such an item.  If a turbocharger modified by our company is disassembled in part or in whole by anyone else any and all warranty is totally void.

Limitation of Liability

For any authorized warranty failure or problem our liability is limited to repair or replacement of defective component only.  We are not liable for any expense or component outside our product such as rental car, labor, dyno tuning time, etc.  If you purchased a new or rebuilt turbocharger which had a warranty failure as outlined in our warranty procedure, we will repair or replace the turbocharger with a model of similar performance.  If you purchased upgrade service work such as porting or ceramic coating which encountered a problem our limit of liability is to repair or replace the porting or ceramic coating work.  Warranty on upgrades is ONLY an upgrade which had a defect in materials or workmanship, no additional coverage for any other problems or expenses.

Any and all warranties are void if the turbocharger is disassembled in part or in whole by anyone other than a Deadbolt Enterprises technician at our facility.
